I tested this Penguin cool mist humidifier over a period of several weeks. Crane is one of the top manufacturers of cool mist humidifiers so I expected the unit to be easy to use, durable and to provide a consistent stream - all of which they delivered on.
They offer a number of child friendly designs, including my personal favorite - the penguin. As expected, the product was quiet (soothing) during my use.
