I use this on TOP of the heavy duty zippered vinyl mattress protector. This way I don't have to remove the vinyl protector when my dogs create an unscheduled laundering of this breathable cover. This also prevents the "plasticky" feeling and sound when using only the vinyl protector.

4 years ago, we made the biggest purchase of our married life, when we bought the hi-profile, Beauty Rest Black set for our CaliKing bed. We paid $100+ extra, for the cover, and our mattress still looks brand new. When the brandname cover wore out, I came here looking for a replacement. It just arrived. The look, feel and fit seem better than the price I paid would suggest! I like it-a lot!

the same pad i had before got ruined when i washed it so i went to raymour and flannigan where i bought it. they wouldnt sell me one because you need to buy a mattress to buy a pad. came online and ordered this one cheaper than them [...] couldnt be better. Thanks again
