The Pari nebulizer pump is only good for 6 months, then they just give out. I would imagine it is the filter that is used, there is a fine dust like film around the area when you open the filter cap, it wears out the piston, so no pressure. I use a nebulizer four times a day seven days a week. This is the second Pari I have gone through since 3/21/2011. This last one just died today, 4/24/2012.

I have gone through a number if Pari nebulizers, finding that they [*]out in about six months with regular use. I have purchased two in the last year and a half and will go with another brand this time. The little Trek travel neb is wonderful, but this one just doesn't hold up.

We used our nebulizer every day for about a year and two months, after which time the motor started making a screeching noise and the nebulizing performance became very slow. We determined we needed to purchase a brand new unit, as the inner parts were not serviceable or replaceable.

We did purchase the same unit, as we already had bought the compatible nebulizer cup and accessories. It is easy to use and the included carrying case is very handy.

I'm very happy with the Pari compressor and nebulizer. It's very effective as well as being reasonably compact and quite. There in nothing flimsy about the unit, it's well buitl and should last a long time. Great instructions for use.
Good value for the price.

I use it daily and find it simple and straightforward. It is stable on the table and holds the nebulizer well, with no tipping. I traveled with it in my suitcase and it did fine.

The Pari Sprint nebulizer cup seems a more efficient medication delivery system. I have only used this Pari pump and Sprint cup for one month. I have used other pumps that only lasted 8 months and broke down. I take nebulizer treatments on average of 4 times a day. The average treatment time is approximately 23 minutes, that is with two vials(5.5ml). So the main thing is will this Pari hold up for another 5 years is yet to be seen. So far, though, it is doing well.

I bought the Vios for my 3yo daughter, who has CF.
I use it for her Xopenex, Pulmozyme and TOBI.
I noticed that it really did decrease our treatment time, esp for the TOBI.

The manual does say not to run it for more than 30 minutes at a time. We do the Xopenex, then the
Pulmozyme. My daughter ususally likes a little "break" after these two, while her vest finishes. I just turn the machine off for these few minutes, then start it back up. I haven't had any problems so far.

Also, it is very quiet and doesn't vibrate as much as some other compressors.

It comes with a handy carrying case...the case is big enough to hold the accessories (like mask, tubing and neb cup), but still small enough to be convenient.

Our very active 3-year old requires daily medication and occasionally multiple rescue treatments, back-to-back. We're done in 5 minutes or less with each medicine.
